To Share or Not to Share

By now you may have notice the No Pin Zone graphic on my site.  It’s recently come to my attention that, unlike Facebook and Twitter, photos and videos captured to Pinterest are full sized images and once pinned become the property of Pinterest:

“By making available any Member Content through the Site, Application or Services, you hereby grant to Cold Brew Labs a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license, with the right to sublicense, to use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, license, SELL, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, stream, broadcast, access, view, and otherwise exploit such Member Content only on, through or by means of the Site, Application or Services.” (

With that in mind, I’ve decided to create a No Pin Zone here.  That doesn’t mean you can’t continue to share links to my website on Facebook and Twitter.  In fact, I encourage it.  Thanks for understanding and enjoy the art.

  1. I must apologise, I pinned you last week. I will unpin.
I will have to think about these terms, as they don’t seem fair, but I have been enjoying Pinterest; I am doing a roaring trade with a 1994 pic of Princess Diana, closely followed by a Bull Mastiff puppy, sadly, Babs Windsor is dragging her heels.
I might check out Tumblr as an alternative.

    1. Not to worry, Scarlet. I’m just learning about these things as well. Thanks for taking time to write here. Sandy

    2. Sorry to be so late to respond. Summer was crazy busy and we’ve been in the process of moving since November. Don’t worry about the pinning. Pinterest changed their policy (thankfully). Have a wonderful day.
